Innovative and Efficient: Concentrator Modules

FLATCON^® modules are made up of a lens plate (Fresnel lens) and a base plate on which the high performance solar cells are mounted. The Fresnel lens focuses sunlight concentrated by a factor of almost 500 on the solar cells beneath.

The precision with which the cells are mounted on the base plate is at 25 µm unusually high. The focal point of the focused sunlight is located exactly on the solar cell.

For its module construction, Concentrix Solar uses elements from the circuit board industry and the insulating glass technology which are both cost-efficient and have been proved reliable over many years. Precision and quality in the module manufacture lead to an extremely high average module efficiency of 27.2%.
